Wonder Why is a Character exclusive to Ancient Dreams, who was released on October 23, 2022. Often named Why (by the devs) or Wonder (by the community) for short, they're an ancient architect trying to reconstruct themselves. They may be fragile but knowledge, a few gadgets and the help of new friends could let them reach their end goal.

Wonder Why's backstory is summarized in their biography from the Compedium:
Wonder or Why, the ancient memory. They were the main engineer of the ancients, living among the forgotten civilization. The ancients fled to the moon, while they remained hoping for the ancient emperor to return someday. Using an ancient mask, Wonder put themselves to sleep while their body decayed away. Awaken now by a strange shockwave of lunar energy, Wonder needs to rebuild themselves, go find the relics of their past and most important - survive.
