The Gem Shards are an item required in many crafting recipes of the mod, specially useful for Wonder Why.

Normal characters can't consume Gem Shards but if they could it would reduce 20 and 15 but they would also receive 9.4 .

When Wonder Why consumes Gem Shards they receive 1 Endurance (doesn't change if you have a Refined Red Gem) and 9.4 .

Ways to get them

Gem Shards aren't craftable, you instead get them in many other different ways.

• If you get hit while using Gem Based Eyes inside an Ancient Despair Mask or a Prosthetic Mask the Eye will break and a Gem Shards will drop to the floor.
• Crafting anything inside the Grindstone Tab will drop an extra Gem Shards to the floor.
• Crushing Gem Based Eyes (excluding Perfection and Numbness) at an Ancient Jewel Disposer grants a special effect along an extra Gem Shards.
